Abstract

A laboratory-scale apparatus has been developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the purpose of providing a UF6 environment for testing of instruments and materials in simulated operating plant conditions. The system has been used for several diverse applications in support of nonproliferation and other U.S. Department of Energy programs. Apparatus characteristics and capabilities are described and illustrated with brief descriptions of several recent projects.
