Abstract

A laboratory-scale apparatus has been developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the purpose of providing a UF 6 environment for testing of instruments and materials in simulated operating plant conditions. The system has been used for several diverse applications in support of nonproliferation and other U.S. Department of Energy programs. The apparatus characteristics and capabilities are described and illustrated with brief descriptions of several recent experimental applications.
