Abstract

A methodology was developed to provide effective functionalization of the inner surfaces of zeolitic materials using an ion-implantation technique. Metal-ion templates serve as a catalyst in this functionalization methodology. The results of the study have led to a simplified experimental procedure for functionalizing zeolites with well controlled distributions of functional ligands on zeolites.
