Abstract

The status of the JCPOA has implications for nuclear proliferation in the Middle East. This study has presented Iran's breakout time and latency time as a result of 'with' and 'without' JCPOA. With and without JCPOA, the breakout time can be as low as 2.4 months and one week respectively. With and without JCPOA, the nuclear weapons latency time can be as low as 177 days and 172 days respectively. Such a study is useful for policymakers to understand the consequences related to the JCPOA's implementation status.
