Abstract

In the ferroelectric-antiferromagnet, BiFeO₃, the cycloidal spiral arrangement of the magnetic moments of the Fe³⁺ ions whose length is 620 Å was confirmed. This magnetic ordering remains up to the Néel temperature (643K).
