Abstract
Type-I intermittency is studied numerically and experimentally in a delayed differential system consisting of a laser diode interferometer with an electronic time-delayed feedback. The effects of the time delay and the external noise are investigated. It is shown that various characteristics probability distributions for laminar length exist in type-I intermittency depending on the delay time.
