Abstract

A plasma-based isotope separation system has been installed at Theragenics' Oak Ridge, TN facility and has recently been put into operation. The facility is designed to separate stable isotopes of metallic elements using the Plasma Separation Process (PSP). This paper outlines the operational performance and isotope separation projects being considered for a variety of medical, scientific and industrial customers.
