Abstract
ZnSb and CdSb exist in a metastable crystalline phase after quenching under high pressure to liquid nitrogen temperature. With heating the materials transform into an intermediate amorphous and finally the equilibrium crystalline phase. The metastable and amorphous phases show increased vibrational density of states at low frequencies.
