Abstract

A hybrid anti-collision method for the RFID system is proposed to enhance throughput and reduce the recognition time of tags. Tags of RFID are grouped by the RFID reader to maximise system throughput, then each group is read by the slotted-ALOHA method. By computer simulation, it was found that the hybrid method improves both tag identification time and system throughput compared to other anti-collision methods.
