Abstract

High-spin states have been identified in doubly odd I114 produced in the Ni60(58Ni,3pn) reaction. Two rotational band structures have been observed. One band exhibits no signature splitting, while the second exhibits a large signature splitting. These bands are interpreted in terms of g9/2h11/2 and g7/2h11/2 quasiparticle configurations, respectively.
