Abstract

As a part of the next generation advanced reactor analysis code suite at GNF-Americas, the LANCER02 lattice physics code has been developed which contains a neutron and gamma transport solution based on the MoC. This paper provides validation of the LANCER02 gamma transport calculations compared to an MCNP coupled neutron-gamma solution. The new MoC based gamma transport module generates consistent results with the accuracy of the pin power distribution. The agreement between the reference MCNP results and LANCER02 generated gamma energy deposition distributions are in good agreement.
