Abstract
A fast-gain-switching preamplifier for high-throughput nuclear gamma-ray spectroscopy is described. A simple scheme was used, which avoids the very high dynamic range required, for a gain stabilizing technique used with a gamma-ray detector constructed of BGO scintillators and photomultiplier tubes.
