Abstract

An exact method utilizing integration along invariant curves on Poincaré surfaces of section is described for semiclassical calculation of eigenvalues. The surfaces of section (SOS) method has been shown to be easily applied to two- and three-dimensional quasiperiodic systems with degenerate or nondegenerate, bound or resonant types of states, with analytical or numerical force fields.
