Abstract

The authors replace Table II and its discussion paragraph from their original article1 in order to incorporate the correct information. Thermal neutrons may produce indirect atomic displacements as a result of radioactive capture (n,c) reactions, particularly for light isotopes or high energy prompt gamma ray emissions. The prompt gamma rays with the highest and most intense energy emitted from neutron capture in GaN are listed in Table II (Refs. 111 and 112 of original article). Among them, the energy of the recoil nucleus could cause minor displacements when emitting high energy prompt gamma rays, although the most prompt gamma rays from Ga have much smaller energies and the resulting recoiled nucleus would have energy in the electron-volt range. The effect of the last reaction is negligible due to the extremely small cross section (2.42×10-5 b). (Table Presented).
