Abstract

The effects of irradiation damage and recovery of properties by thermal annealing of two low upper-shelf WF-70 weld material were investigated. Irradiation embrittlement after a fluence of 1.0×1019 n/cm2 was evaluated by the conventional American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code method and the American Society for Testing Materials master curve method. The Code method rated the same the post-irradiation transition temperatures of the materials. The master curve method indicated that the post-irradiated properties of the two materials differed significantly.
