Abstract

In this investigation, effect of electron beam on ion-acoustic solitons (IASs) in an unmagnetized plasma, which includes ion fluid and superthermal hot electrons, has been presented. The Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation has been derived by employing the reductive perturbation method. Furthermore, by considering the contribution of higher order effects, the KdV-type inhomogeneous equation is also derived, and its solution results in the formation of dressed IASs. The combined effects of electron-beam parameters and variation of different physical parameters on the characteristics of IA dressed solitons have been analyzed. It is remarked that electron-beam components and other plasma parameters significantly influence the properties of IASs. Furthermore, the stability analysis in the presence of electron beam has been scrutinized.
