Abstract
An eight-noded hybrid-stress finite element is used to analyse the dynamic behaviour of laminated plates with elliptical cutouts. The first four natural frequencies are evaluated by varying a number of parameters, such as the fibre orientation, width-to-thickness ratio, hole size and major-to-minor axes ratio.
