N2 - This paper treats the problem of simultaneously synchronizing two different pairs of chaotic oscillators with a single scalar signal. The condition for dual synchronization is obtained explicitly for chaotic oscillators represented by specific classes of piecewise-linear maps with conditional linear coupling. Dual synchronization with conditional linear coupling is also demonstrated numerically for oscillators modeled by a number of different classes of maps, and for oscillators modelled by delay-differential equations.
