    Abstract

The status of engineering design of the Quasi-Poloidal Stellarator Experiment (QPS) is presented. The QPS device is presently in the design phase with selected general configuration. The baseline concepts for the QPS, exists for most of the primary design features. The detailed analysis and concept refinement of the QPS devices is to be carried out during the remainder of the conceptual design phase.
