Abstract

This paper describes the design and implementation of a 480W three-phase converter for photovoltaic water pumping systems. The converter is designed to present a high-efficiency and high lifetime market friendly product. With a single digital signal controller control and common ground gate-driving, the converter is a suitable solution for remote regions where a αhp water pump is applicable. The control strategy integrates P&O MPPT and Space Vector Modulation. Simulation and experimental results are presented and show converter's efficiency up to 91.3%.
