Abstract
The current status of postirradiation examination of the Advance Fuel Campaign metallic fuel irradiation tests are presented. Several sets of irradiations tests are currently undergoing exams. A wide variety of alloys and forms are currently being explored with the goal of improving fast reactor fuel performance (mitigation of swelling and fuel cladding chemical interaction) and actinides transmutation. Highlight results from neutron radiography, gamma spectrometry, fission gas release, optical microscopy and advance microscopy are discussed. Data from examination of these irradiations are compared to historical irradiations and the fuel performance of historical alloys.
