Compressive Creep of Fusion-Cast Alumina as a Function of Microstructure

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

M-type fusion-cast alumina refractories are now being creep tested at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) as a function of stress, temperature, and microstructure. Preliminary results indicate creep is related to variations in the microstructure of the as-cast refractory block.
