Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the operation and control strategies of a multi-input converter. The interest in this type of topology is becoming higher and its applications more relevant, as the use of energy sources with distinct voltage and current characteristics is diffused. Firstly, the converter was modeled and afterward three controllers have been designed: proportional-integral, fuzzy logic controller and state-feedback. Through simulation analysis, it was possible to validate the obtained model as well as assess the pros and cons from each control strategy employed for the chosen converter.
