Abstract

High-spin states in [Formula Presented] were populated using the [Formula Presented] ([Formula Presented]) reaction at 70 MeV energy. Lifetime measurements of the [Formula Presented] 980.7 keV and [Formula Presented] transitions using the Doppler-shift attenuation method determined that both are enhanced [Formula Presented] transitions. This measurement indicates the onset of deformation with increasing spin in [Formula Presented] as has been seen in neighboring nuclei.
