Abstract

Basic research in nuclear physics provides us with fundamental insights about our physical world, from exploring the reactions that power the stars and the evolution of the cosmos, to advancing our understanding of the atomic nucleus, to enhancing the search for new forces, to investigating the formation and structure of the elements in our Universe.
