Abstract

A literature review was conducted to understand the behavior of fission product releases in high-temperature gas-cooled reactors with TRISO fuel, focusing on identifying key radionuclides critical for dose assessment. By leveraging diffusivity and compact release studies, appropriate release percentages to the environment were determined for 21 radionuclides for two categories of sabotage-induced accidents, enabling a comprehensive consequence assessment for high-temperature gas-cooled reactors using TRISO fuel.
