Analysis of the standard calibration methods for neutron monitors

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The goal of this study is to compare the calibration factors obtained by the four calibration methods recommended by the standard ISO 8529-2. To do this, two Berthold LB6411 neutron monitors are calibrated applying the four methods using a 241Am-Be source and the calibration results are compared. Calibration factors obtained are coherent with each other considering their typical standard deviation and differ by less than 4% from each other.
