Abstract
This paper reports the preparation and characterization of Ag nanopastes by using the novel hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) binder system. The pastes were composed of 100 nm Ag nanoparticles (NP) and HPC binder solution in 2-(2-Ethoxyethoxy) ethanol (EEOH). The rheological behaviours of the HPC binder solution and the Ag nanopastes were characterized with a series of dynamic frequency sweeps and thixotropy experiments. After screen printing and sintering, low resistivity Ag electrodes were obtained.
