Accident tolerance of zircaloy-2 and FeCrAl under simulated cyclic dryout conditions

Abstract

We developed a novel experiment to simulate cyclic dryout conditions. The results show an increased performance of C26M over Zircaloy-2 under such conditions, an indication of C26M possessing superior high temperature mechanical properties and resistance to fatigue.
