Abstract

Through measurements, Ti2+ is found to be one of the first multiply charged metal ions whose excitation cross section and certainly the only Ti ion for which measurements are made. It carried out some distorted-wave calculations of cross sections for comparison. The spread in these results indicates the need for future nonperturbative close-coupling calculations.
