Abstract

The hydrothermal reaction of a mixture of V₂O₅, 1,2,4-triazole (trz), Cu(NO₃)₂·2.5H₂O and H₂O yields [{Cu₃(trz)₂}V₄O₁₂], a material constructed from one-dimensional {V₄O₁₂}_n^4n- chains linked to undulating {Cu₃(trz)₂}_n⁴ⁿ⁺ networks.
