808 nm Quasi-CW laser diode stack with polarization coupling

    Abstract

    Using polarization coupling technology make two laser beam of perpendicular polarization direction reciprocally together to output the high power, that is another effective way to improve the power and the brightness of diode lasers. In this paper, we utilized polarization coupling technology to couple two 808 nm 20% duty factor laser diode stack together, and designed the optical system to expand and focus the beam, through the experiment, we realized the spot size with 2 mm × 2 mm, the efficiency above 60%. As to the result, it wasn't reported before.
