Abstract

In this paper, a 3-D analytical model, describing the magnetic field density of air core rectangular coil used in contactless power transfer system has been proposed. The magnetic field distribution is determined using the magnetic scalar and vector potentials. The current through the coil has been represented as a Fourier series. Finally, the results of the analytical model are compared with those from the experimental set-up. A good agreement is obtained between analytical and experimental results.
