133 fs Pulses generated in Colliding-Pulse Mode-Locking, Enable Record χ2 Frequency Conversion

Abstract

We demonstrate a colliding-pulse mode-locked Bragg reflection laser. Record short pulse widths of 133 femtoseconds exhibit high peak power of ~240 mW; thus enables a record difference frequency generation conversion efficiency of -38 dB.
