Project Details
Description
This proposal is intended to enable the development of novel neutron instrumentation that will allow the U.S. research community tomeet major challenges in critical science research programs. Up to four young scientists will be supported to develop novelinstrumentation concepts under a fellowship program. Fellows will be selected via a competitive process and will then have theopportunity to develop their instrumentation concepts together with ORNL staff and other experts. The benefit of this approach isthe creation of an environment where embryonic ideas can be incubated in a professional support environment and be developed intoviable concepts.
