Project Details
Description
This project will develop and commercialize a storage concept based on liquification of natural gas (LNG). The liquification process for natural gas can be considered as a mature technology where cryogenic systems are deployed to reduce the temperature of the natural gas to a point where it turns into liquid. The proposed concept is to scale down the technology to small-scale applications where it can be stored close to the ultimate consumption site (small neighborhood, buildings, etc.) for process cooling and modular power generation.
