High Temperature, High Resolution Sigma Delta ADC Development for Deep Trek

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

The Oak Ridge National Laboratory will collaborate with Honeywell, Inc. to develop a high-resolution, wide temperature range analog to digital converter (ADC) in support of the existing Deep Trek Program. This work will be integrated into the existing ?Development of SOI High Temperature Electronics' project currently in place with Honeywell (Project ID DE-FC26-03NT41834). As part of this work, ORNL will develop the circuit designs for a first fabrication ADC including both the sigma delta modulator and digital filter functions. ORNL will provide the design specifics and work with Honeywell on the layout and simulation of the design in the Honeywell SOI4 fabrication process. In addition, ORNL will provide test vectors for post layout verification of the design. At the end of this project, the ADC design will be ready for the first fabrication run in Honeywell's proprietary SOI process.
